UNAIDS: Death penalty set by Brunei monarchy is breach of human rights: United Nation, Apr 5 (UNI ) Underscoring that every person has the right to be ''free from torture'' and ''cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment'', UNAIDS has warned the new penal code of Brunei monarchy that impose the death penalty for same-sex relationships, adultery and childbirth out of marriage and called it a breach of international human rights norms.
