Dalit gap invoked to block judge: The Centre has cited the lack of any Supreme Court judge from the Dalit or tribal communities as one of its reasons for asking the collegium to reconsider its recommendation to elevate Justice K.M. Joseph, the Uttarakhand chief justice, to the apex court.
